NYU New Student Information
As you might remember when you first began your undergraduate education, starting at a new institution means the inundation of all types of information including new ID numbers, new ID cards, new student information systems, and new ways to register for courses. Here we provide a brief run-down of the steps you'll have to take as a new student at NYU. Additionally in the "NYU Resources" and "Getting Around" tabs to the left are some helpful links to help familiarize you with the NYU campus as a whole.
NYU ID, Net ID, and ID Cards
As newly accepted to students to NYU, you will be issued with the item listed below that identify you as an NYU student. Most of this information will be listed on the numerous forms of communication that you will get from NYU.
- An "N" number, or student ID number beginning with the letter "N."
- A net ID number that you will use to log in to the student information system, Albert.
- A student ID card. Your "N" number will be listed on the back of this card.
